New stadium
Posted March 2nd, 2010 by Tim HarrisonOK. Let's look at this new stadium as something that we need to do now. No more nay-saying. I know the cost is big - $450 million. We could sink another $6 million into Mosaic Stadium, but as the report said, we'd only get 10 years out of it - and that's it. So, 10 years from now when we can't do anthing with Mosaic, what now? What's the cost of a new stadium going to be now? 1 billion? We all know how prices escalate.
Olympic pondering?
Posted February 23rd, 2010 by Tim HarrisonNow that I've been watching the Olympics for what seems like months now, I'm starting to wonder why we call certain countries what we do. Like Germany. Why do we call it Germany when they call it Deutschland. Why don't we just call it Deutschland? Or Finland. They call it Suomi. Why don't we call them Suomi. Where did Germany and Finland come from? How about Poland. They call it Polska. Why don't we? Then it gets more confusing. The Russians still have Russia on their clothing, yet it should be Россия. It's just way too confusing.

In Like a Lamb
Posted March 9th, 2010 by WoodyWow is it just me or does winters icy grip seem to be loosening… it’s brighter longer, it’s not as cold out, there are puddles… and an ominous foreboding fog. Crap, we can’t get away with anything… this is a ‘foreshadow fog’ if I have ever seen one. Something menacing is on our horizon. All we are missing in this movie is the tense music. This no doubt points to the weather loin that will savagely eat us alive as March comes to a close!
‘Hurt Locker’ is not the Best Movie
Posted March 9th, 2010 by WoodyDon’t get me wrong; I do believe that Kathryn Bigelow was the best director. She did the most with what she was given… a weak script and average actors. My problem with this movie is greater the Bigelow, her actors, the script… It’s more about what this movie real stands for, atonement for the botched insanity that is Iraq. In a way by giving this movie top honors the American people can all dump the guilt they feel over being the country that has a reputation for sticking it’s nose in other peoples business.
