TV! Where do I find all the shows?!?!

I caught part of the Emmy's last night and was amazed by all these shows you never see promoted! I know that they're all HBO and Showtime shows that we can see in Canada on Movie Central, but I never know when. I know on network TV when the shows are on, but I have no idea when all these great shows like Mad Men, Dexter, Breaking Bad, The Closer! And the movies. Pacino as Jack Kervorkian - Thee Dr. Death. I would have watched that, but I'd never even heard of it until last night. Apparently it was quite good because they won awards!

Quitting your job - and making it memorable!!!

By now, you've read about Steven Slater and his dramatic departure as a flight attendant from Jet Blue Airlines. He's become quite the folk hero and has over 100,000 people who "like" him on a Facebook fan page dedicated to him.

Now, I don't know if the following is actually for real, but it's a pretty creative way to "give your notice". |Thanks to Jack Facebook Fan Roxanne Angell sending this. I needed to share with you.

The Beatle Brand

Don’t get me wrong… I respect the amazing talent that Paul, John and George had… oh yes and Ringo was funny to look at. The Beatles represented a fresh and unique twist to rock music… And the people who they made the biggest impression on in the 60’s and 70’s became the people who had the money in the 80’s and 90’s… the self-centered, faceless army of wasteful consumers that consumed to find happiness.

Battle Royal

Steven Slader, the former Jet Blue attendant who quit his job this week in a very flamboyant and public way and the “Crazy Mcnugget Lady” have stolen a fantastic amount of public attention this week. Even if Melodi Dushane (Crazy Mcnugget Lady) is nuts, these two represent mega forces of Rebellious Protaganizom (a word I think I just invented)… or antagonism depending on what side of their furry you happen to land on. I would love to see who would win in a fight between the two. Of course this is highly unlikely that their paths would ever cross… or is it.
